This is, hands down, the greatest, most magnificent library I’ve ever seen. The architecture of the building is just amazing; airy and grand with a true connection with the outdoors, yet turn a corner and there are several snug and cozy zones available for you to relax in with a good book. The kid’s area is enormous and includes a play area, a toddler learning center and a music room equipped with a set of drums. The library stocks millions of books, music and DVDs in several different languages. The place even has a comic book corner with light tables so you can trace your favorite superheroes directly from the books! Unlike most libraries, the Malmö City Library is abuzz with people hanging out, studying hard in the quiet rooms, talking (at normal levels) in all other areas, I even saw people drinking coffees and eating sticky Danishes!
Upstairs, the cubicles feel like little IKEA living rooms.
Coffee shop style seating.
The view of the park is spectacular, I believe parts of it light up at night.
Modern check-in/out stations. Everything is automated with conveyor belts and robots.
You even get a clear view of the famous twisted torso building.
