Look at these pretty tomatoes!
Last fall I tried pickled green tomatoes at a party put on by the local fisherman in Sozopol, Bulgaria. The tomatoes go very well with grilled fish, smoked fish, fried fish and large portions of homemade moonshine.
Green tomato chutney.
Onion, garlic, ginger, lemon peel, raisins, green tomatoes, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, pepper, curry, turmeric and sugar.
Try it with chicken or pork, it’s to die for! (It tastes even better the next day)
Fried green tomatoes.
Bread slices of tomato and fry in oil. Serve with the chutney.
