Let me rewind.

I’m a little behind on the posts, let’s start at new years.

We were parked on the Asian side of Istanbul, 100m from the water. New Year’s eve was rather warm so we made food in the van and then walked down the busy streets holding hands and singing songs. A car full of young people gave us a ride to the water’s edge where we screamed out the last few seconds of the year. At the stroke of 12, fireworks went off like crazy and people where cheering like mad. The most amazing part of the night was watching thousands of heart shaped paper lanterns float into the night, carrying with it a wish made by the owner.

These cats lived under the van for the week we were there. We bought cat food and fed them twice (ok, maybe more) a day.

Deep Fried brains, it was delicious.
