The 7 days of Arek. Part four.

Arek, the rockstar that he is, drove 15 hours from L’viv, Ukraine to Opole, Poland, thankfully crossing the border this time took only 11/2 hours. Opole is the city Arek was born and some of his family still lives there. In true Polish tradition Arek’s aunt fed us until we felt ill and after eating we waddled down the streets of Opole with his wonderful cousin Magda. Before Arek had come, Matt and I had not been invited into anyone’s home and experience a real Polish meal with a real Polish family. Everyone was so warm, inviting, helpful and kind. Thank you Arek and his wonderful family for an experience of a lifetime.
